Since i was a child i developed a big passion for sounds, music, film and different kinds of acoustic and visual phenomena. A rehearsal room in my parents house made me spend a lot of time at the band rehearsals of my brothers and sisters, learn different instruments and start my own music projects. I started composing on piano and guitar and finally experienced the extended possi­bilities of composing with the help of the computer, both electronic and acoustic music. I con­sequential­ly took part at musical workshops and university courses, visited a school with musical focus in england and finally passed a school of audio engi­neering (SAE Hamburg) after finishing my a-levels. This was followed by an assistance for famous film composers at the First Take Studios Berlin and Cologne. This sort of made me open my eyes and ears for film sound. The intensive experience at achieving dramaturgic effects with music and sounds, reaching the listeners with every single tone, made me continue to work with different composers and directors.
As a composer and sound designer in freelance now, i'm still fascinated by the endless possi­bilities of creating, modifying and combining sounds, using sound and music as a direct communication with consciousness and sub­consciousness without conventions and language barriers. In doing so the borders between noise and sound, music and sounddesign become blurred. Whether in electronic recycling of an old phone or going for a walk through berlin with a field recorder, i am always on the prowl for interesting noises, sounds and rhythms of the acoustical environment and in search of exciting projects to make these heard and to be challenged with new experiences.
